Abstract

In my last seminar I explained how Aristotelian metaphysics offers a different perspective to technologists (who have in recent centuries thought about things like causation and substance in non-Aristotelian ways). Here I continue that conversation, exploring how Aristotelian metaphysics can reframe everyday assumptions about politics and political authority. I will introduce an Aristotelian way of interpreting ideological latent space (including left/right); and discuss how this relates to leading theories of political authority.
