Markov semigroups

Abstract

This talk covers the basics of Markov semigroups from a slightly categorical point of view, with an aim of conveying a basic intuition about the setup for and the meaning of the Hille-Yosida theorem. At the end, a synthetic viewpoint is conjectured.
